I'm from CA and visiting Alabama for a few months.  It's an adventure discovering the culture here and keeping an open mind to embrace the contrast.  My friend and I looked up Studio 84 on yelp and went off reviews and how nice the pictures were to try out a salon away from our home towns and city life.  We drove by a stand alone building that was not the usual appearance of a salon.  We kind of looked at each other and thought this looks nothing like the pictures but maybe we will be surprised to see the inside.  We walked in and were greeted by the owner Chrissy.  I was looking around and feeling as though this was a unique place to make a salon and it looked like art.  It had a tin roof but the way it was decorated was put together well somewhat a mix of modern eclectic.  I got a kick out of talking to Chrissy and found her interesting and a visionary thinking outside the box.  I enjoyed hearing the small town news and what life is like there and when all was said and done, my hair looked pretty.  I'm interested to come back to see what Chrissy does with the place.  This was a one of a kind experience and would go back and recommend to others.
